Step-by-Step Wiring Sequence

  1. Secure the Converter: Screw the 12V-to-24V boost regulator to a dry surface near your main fuse block, leaving space around the cooling fins.
  2. Wire the Low-Voltage Input: Route 14 AWG lines from your fuse block to the input terminals of the converter. Install an inline 5A fuse on the positive wire. Connect the ground wire to your vehicle's central grounding bus bar.
  3. Terminate the Output Cord: Connect the positive and negative output leads from the converter directly to your custom locking DC barrel cord. Ensure all splices are protected with heat-shrink tubing.
  4. Validate Voltage Levels: Insert the 5A blade fuse. Use a multimeter to confirm the barrel tip reads a stable 24V stream with center-positive polarity before connecting it to your dish.
